THIS MAGNET MOTOR WASN’T BUILT BY ME More info here: peswiki.com This motor uses magnetic attraction to spin. It is basically a cylinder with flat screws attached to the outside. I mounted this on a hard drive spindle. Four neodymium magnets line up with the four rows of screws. The magnets are attracted to the screws, but are attracted more to the heads than the tail ends. The head of a bottom-row screw will be attracted to the bottom-most magnet. So will the head of the screw above it. The cylinder will turn to compensate this imbalance. The same with the next two rows of screws. The lowest magnet now prefers the head of the next screw rather than the tail of the previous screw because magnets are attracted more to the thicker part of the screw. When I move the magnets close enough, the magnetic attraction makes it spin. This device is a very crude rough draft. The screw placement is off, and it doesn’t rotate smoothly. This is a quiet, environmentally-safe, free-energy device. On a large scale it could produce useful energy.

@lwanatt google the Hoover dam. Hydroelectric generation is a form of a perpetual motion machine. It does not break the laws of physics.

@timrocket2008 the energy generated by the hoover dam comes from the sun. The sun heats the water causing rain to form as potential energy behind the dam. No perpetual motion machine here except maybe the universe its self in the broadest sense.

a magnet lose it’s magnetic field over time, where does that energy go?
in a permanent magnet motor, you need to change the magnets just like fuel in a car.
and, we still need metals, and electricity to make a magnet…

@timrocket2008 if the sun stopped the cycle would stop, the sun supplies the necessary energy to perpetuate the water cycle, its hard to comprehend how this could be confusing to you, the force applied by gravity is a constant it is the displacement of this force that creates potential energy wikipedia “Water cycle” its really pretty simple stuff

@Alexeriks1 Strictly speaking it is possible to make a permanent magnet motor, but it requires nanometer-size magnets, not macroscopic ones.

@lwanatt Dude… You are only repeating what I was explaining to you. But don’t read wikipedia. Lots of things are wrong on that. Anyone can write anything they want on it. I found things changed several times on it, completely contradictory to what was changed.

so i just thought of a work around that would supply you with nearly limitless energy, all you have to do is use a small amount of intelligently organized energy to simulate an endless supply. The universe as a whole would seem to be a perpetual motion machine, so all we need to do is create our own universe of which we have total control. This could be done by scanning each individual atom in a brain and identically reconstructing it virtual space.

we humans don’t know anything about the universe, almost..
but One thing we can be 100% sure of, is that we can Never make a system that gives more energy then it consumes
if we could make more energy then we consume, what would happen when the universe is full of energy? or empty?

energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but can only transform from one state to another.
the magnets lose their magnetic energy after a while, then you need yo change them.. just like you use fuel on a car..
where does it go?
i turn that energy in to motion, which again becomes electrisity..
it won’t save our energy problem either, since we still need metals and electricity to make a magnet..
